Cherries - Christina Kwan

Tis the Season for Cherries

While shopping the local grocery store last week, I ran across some beautiful looking cherries. My daily fruits usually include bananas, kiwis, apples, grapefruit and peaches. While cherries aren’t exactly the kind of fruit to put in your morning fruit cup (because of the pits), I like to wash them and store them in the fridge as a snack during the day. So, instead of running for that bag of chips, grab some nice cold cherries to boost your health.

So why are cherries so good for you? Well, they aren’t the cheapest fruit out there, but the benefits are worth it!

Check out some of the top reasons to consume some cherries:

  1. Antioxidant protection
  2. Cancer preventative compounds
  3. Reduce inflammation
  4. Supports healthy sleep
  5. Arthritis pain relief
  6. Reduce belly fat
  7. Lower risk of stroke
